Ponca City man sentenced to 30 years in rape case
February 26, 2021 | CourtsNEWKIRK — Daniel Albert Turner, 32, Ponca City, entered a guilty plea in Kay County District Court to a felony charge of first degree rape and was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 10 years suspended after serving 20.
Turner was charged with the offense on July 29, 2020 after he was identified as a suspect in the rape and beating of a woman in the area of Highway 11 and Rock Ridge.

Kay County deputy Jon Stieber interviewed the female who reportedly suffered a busted lip, abrasions and scratches. The female alleged that Turner pulled her out of a vehicle by the hair and raped and strangled her multiple times.
