Ponca City man convicted of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor
January 15, 2021 | CourtsNEWKIRK — John Levi Turvey, 24, Ponca City, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to a felony count of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor by technology.
A charge of lewd acts with a child under 16 was dismissed.
Turvey was charged with the offenses on Oct. 7, 2019 after the Kay County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of a sexual assault on a 15-year old. Turvey was sentenced to a 10 year suspended prison sentence and ordered to register as a sex offender.
