NEWKIRK — On Feb. 4, 2021, Sharp entered a no contest plea to her charges and sentencing was deferred for five years. She was ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and parenting classes.

NEWKIRK — For the second time in four months, the Kay County District has court has issued a failure to appear warrant for Gloria Ecelsis Sharp, 24, Ponca City.

Sharp was charged on March 6 with a felony count of child abuse- drug endangered child and a misdemeanor charge of possession of meth.

Ponca City police report that Sharp and Bradley Austin Butter, 32, Hutchinson, Kan., were arrested on March 1 at America’s Best Value Inn after officers responded to a report of subjects smoking meth around an infant. (see story)

Gloria Ecelsis Sharp

On April 16, Sharp was released on bond. She then failed to appear Aug. 10 and a warrant was issued with bond endorsed at $20,000. On Sept. 24 she was arrested and then released on bond. She failed to appear for a status docket on Dec. 8 and a warrant with bond endorsed at $40,000 is issued.

Butter was charged with a felony count of child endangerment permitting abuse and misdemeanor charges of possession of meth and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Bradley Austin Sharp

On June 3, he entered a no contest plea to the charges and was sentenced to four years in prison with all but 11 months in the county jail suspended. On Sept. 22 he failed to appear for a court hearing and warrant is issued for his arrest.
