Nardin residents sentenced in accident case

NEWKIRK — Two Nardin residents enter no contest pleas in Kay County District Court in accident case.

Cameron Randle Crow, 27, entered a no contest plea in  to a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer.

Donta Michael Burkholder, 21, entered no contest pleas to a felony count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of an accident causing damage to a fixture.

The pair were charged and later arrested following an accident that occurred on Feb. 23 near Blackwell. (see story)

On Sept. 29, Crow was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving with a suspended license, to which he also entered a no contest plea.

He was sentenced to a one year suspended sentence in the county jail and ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic violence treatment and complete 40 hours of community service.

Sentencing for Burkholder was deferred for seven years and he was ordered to pay $1,536 in restitution.
