Ponca City woman receives deferred sentence in child neglect case

NEWKIRK — Autumn Ruby McBride, 19, Ponca City, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to a felony count of child neglect.

McBride was originally charged with a felony count of child abuse or in the alternative child neglect. The charge was filed on Aug. 26, 2019. 

She is accused of allowing David Lee Jensen, a registered sex offender, live with her and an infant. (see story)

Sentencing for McBride is deferred tor two years and she is ordered to submit random urine tests, complete parenting classes and 40 hours of community service.
