Cpl. Jared Gray reports when he arrived at the home. Harris came to the door and told him to come in and handcuff him because she is dead and deserves to be.

Gray reports Jones was on the floor lifeless. Paramedics were called and transported Jones to Alliance Health where she was pronounced dead at 1:34 p.m.

Det. Sgt. Shane Pruett interviewed Harris.

Harris reportedly stated, “I married my wife in 2016 and we have been arguing a lot this past year. Today she kept poking me and saying stuff like ‘I’m going to take all of your stuff.’ I just snapped and grabbed her by the neck. I choked the !@#$%^& crap out of her for about five minutes. She begged for her life once asking me to stop. I’m sorry I did it and will take the consequences. I couldn’t take it anymore but I am not sorry. I hope the bitch is dead so she can’t do this to anyone else.”

Police report the couple were in the process of parting ways. Harris is scheduled for an initial appearance on July 24.
