Trio accused of child abuse enter no contest pleas

NEWIRK — A trio accused of child abuse have been convicted and sentenced in Kay County District Court.

Ricky Allen Logan, 63; Christopher Michael Logan, 24, and Megan Lyn Logan, 28, were charged on Jan. 11, 2019 after Ponca City police reportedly responded to a report of two unattended children playing outside. Officer Darold Ross reports in the affidavit that he responded and located two nude children covered in filth playing in the yard. (see story)

Ricky Allen Logan, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to charges of enabling child neglect, enabling child abuse by injury and failure to report child abuse. 

Christopher Michael Logan, who now reportedly lives in Wichita, Kan., entered a no contest plea to charges of child abuse by injury, child neglect, and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Megan Lyn Logan, 28, who now reportedly lives in Wichita, Kan., entered a no contest plea to charges of child abuse by injury, child neglect, and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

In all three cases, Judge Lee Turner deferred sentencing for three years and ordered the trio be subjected to random urine tests twice a week and complete 40 hours of community service. All three are set for review on Aug. 28.
