Court date set for woman accused of not reporting child abuse

NEWKIRK — A status docket is set in Kay County District Court for Jesyca Leigh Rosholt, 35, Ponca City.

Rosholt was charged on  Jan. 15 with a felony charge of permitting injury and or sex abuse to a child and a misdemeanor count of failure to report child abuse. (see story)

According to the Oklahoma District Court network, Rosholt appeared before Judge David Wilkie on March 13 and told the court she wished to proceed pro se. The court strongly discouraged the request but Rosholt insisted on self representation.

A status docket is set on April 17.
