PAWHUSKA — During a preliminary hearing this week, an Osage County judge ruled that there is enough evidence to bound Ponca City resident Jason Jesse Hicks, 46, over for trial on a charge of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

Hicks was charged with the offense on Sept. 18, 2019. He appeared with his attorney Scott Loftis eight days later in court and entered a plea of not guilty.

Osage County deputy Tom Gilliland reports in the affidavit that on Aug. 12, 2019, a mother contacted authorities and reported her teenage daughter claims she was touched in a sexual manner by Hicks at a residence in Osage County. Prosecutors requested a $50,000 bond and Loftis asked that bond be reduced to $5,000. The court set bond at $25,000. Arraignment is set for March 20.
