ENID — The 2020 Ponca City High School Girls Bowling team finished their season Saturday at the Oklahoma High School State Championship in Enid at Oakwood Bowl.

“As a coach, I could not be any more proud of their performance,” said coach Robin Cnossen.

The team finished in tenth place in state competition.

“The team has great chemistry with the leadership of veteran bowler, Jessica Hamlin and senior Sydney Grass and four first time bowlers, Madi Jernigan, Trinity Parcell, Mallory Rilery and  Raelynn Rodriquez. They were regional runner-ups returning to the State Championship for the first time since 2017 and were within striking distance of the Quarterfinals,” said Cnossen.

Grass received All Region Recognition and Hamlin All State Recognition. She also made the Ponca Bowl All-Star team which is competing next weekend at Boulevard Lanes in Edmond. “This is not the end but the beginning of the path to the 2021 State High School Bowling Championship,” said Cnossen.
