UPDATED: Officials investigating residential fire in Red Rock

RED ROCK — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has just released the following press release.

The Noble County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to assist with an investigation after a house fire in Red Rock where one person was found deceased. 

Shortly after midnight, a passerby noticed a home in the 19000 block of X Road in Red Rock fully engulfed in flames. The fire was reported to authorities. After the fire was put out, one person was found deceased. The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will positively identify the individual and determine the cause of death.

Additionally, the ATF, State Fire Marshall, Noble County Sheriff’s Office, Red Rock Fire Department and Marland Fire Department are all on scene assisting. This investigation is ongoing and anyone who saw anything or knows anything about this case is asked to call the OSBI at (800) 522-8017 or email tips@osbi.ok.gov.

RED ROCK —  An overnight fire destroyed a home in Red Rock.

Noble County Sheriff Charlie Hanger said the first report of the fire was received around midnight.

Sources say two people are feared dead. 

Hanger said he has asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate and can’t comment on any other matters related to the fire.
