Warrant issued in stolen phone case

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Lance Avery Langley, 34, Derby, Kan. by the Kay County District Court.

Langley is facing a felony charge of larceny of merchandise from a retailer after two or more felony convictions filed on Nov. 14, 2019. Ponca City police patrolman Brandon Hurst reports he responded to the AT-T Store, 2705 N. 14th Street on Aug. 19 for a report of a theft.

The store manager reportedly told police that a male entered the store, went to the Android phones and allegedly stole one valued at $1,399. Police obtained surveillance video and the subject is identified as Langley. Bond is endorsed at $2,500 bond.
