Newkirk woman killed in accident on Interstate 35February 8, 2021 | Featured|Headlines
GUTHRIE — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a Newkirk resident died in a six-vehicle accident that occurred at 4:13 a.m. Monday on Interstate 35 near the 166 mile marker in the northbound lanes, seven miles north of Guthrie in Payne County.
Troopers report Kelly D. Hillhouse, 51, died at the scene of the accident. She was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Venture van and was pinned for six-hours before being freed by Guthrie Fire Department,
Troopers are investigating the cause of the accident but note that the roadway was ice covered and that freezing rain was falling.

2011 Toyota Corolla driven by Vincent G. Dufek, 21, Austin, Texas. Transported by Guthrie EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition for head, arm, leg, trunk external, and trunk internal injuries.
2014 Ford F-150 driven by Shelia Gates, 53, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Not injured. Her passenger, Byron Warner, 26, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Not injured.
2014 Freightliner driven by Gerardo Dominguez, 54, El Paso, Texas. Not injured.
2019 International driven by Yusuf A. Mohamud, 37 of Saint Cloud, Minnesota. Not injured.
2016 Peterbilt driven by Stephen S. Headley, 67 of Lebanon, Missouri. Transported by LifeNet to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition for head and trunk internal injuries.
