PONCA CITY  — The Christmas Tree Recycling area at the Recycling Center, located on west Prospect Avenue, will close on Jan. 20.

The area was opened on Dec. 23 to give residents an option on how to discard Christmas trees.

Trees dropped off at the site will be turned into mulch for gardening and landscape usage.  The mulch will be available free to the public, and those interested will need to bring their own shovels and containers for transport. The mulch will be available beginning Jan. 28, until it is gone.
