PCPS Tuesday classes will be via distance learning

PONCA CITY — Ponca City Public Schools will hold class via distance learning Tuesday Oct. 27.

Officials report the decision is based on the weather forecast. Extracurricular activities and events are cancelled and students will not report to athletic practices.

Students who do not log in Tuesday to complete assignments by midnight on Oct. 27, will be counted absent.   

Teachers, will be working from home and will be posting a variety of instructional supports, which may include videos or resources and will post an assignment for each class. They will be available for student support during regular classroom hours, 8 a.m.- 3:10 p.m. 

Coaches or sponsors may offer or require a home activity or workout.   

There will be no Grab and Go meals served.    

Ponca City Virtual Academy students will not come to 111 W. Grand for testing or tutoring. PCVA teachers will be available via email.  The Board of Education Office will be open and anyone with questions can call 580-767-8000.
