Felony charge filed in three-year-old bad check case; warrant issued

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Laura Grace Rouse, 53, Blackwell, by the Kay County District Court. 

Rouse was charged on Oct. 9 with a felony count of two or more bogus checks together over felony limit of $500 bond.

Officials report in the affidavit that Rouse is accused of writing four bogus checks totaling $2,636.85 on Oct. 17, 2017, to Casey’s General Store in Tonkawa. The checks were reportedly deposited within 30 days and marked insufficient funds.

Rouse reportedly also goes by  Laura Grace Smith and Laura Grace Beattie. Anyone with information on her location is asked to call law enforcement.
