Blackwell police logs Sept. 26-Oct. 3

The following information is provided by Blackwell police. 

Sept. 26

At 3:50 p.m. a caller advised a semi backed over his motorcycle near Highway 177 and Earth Road. OHP was notified.

Sept. 27

At 12:39 a.m. police arrested Larissa Dershem on a domestic charge.

At 2:16 a.m. police arrested Ryan Hughes for actual physical control.

At 12:35 p.m. Blackwell fire units responded to the 600 block of S. D Street for a trailer house on fire.

Sept. 28

At 6:15 p.m. police took a domestic report in the 500 block of west Frisco.

Sept. 29

Police responded to a report of two people fighting in the 300 block of east College. One subject left.

At 2 p.m. police made contact with a homeless man living in a cardboard box near the high school. Some churches were contacted.

Oct. 1

Police took a report on counterfeit money passed at Dollar General.

At 6: 40 p.m. Blackwell fire made contact with juveniles playing with fire at Legion Park.

At 8:55 p.m. fire units responded to a report of an oil tank fire reported across from the cemetery.

Oct. 2

Police responded to the 800 block of N. Birch for a report of a woman dancing in the front yard to music for over 12 hours. 

At 12:53 p.m. fire units responded to the 300 block of N. Main for a report of a gas leak.

At 1:44 p.m. police received a report of a woman bleeding and claiming her husband tried to kill her. The call was transferred to KSO.

At 2:36 p.m. police took a report in the 1800 block of S. B Street on tenants destroying a home.

At 6:26 p.m. police took a report on a gas meter that was hit and leaking in the 1600 block of S. Main Street.

Oct. 3

Police took a report on a suspicious subject at Jefferson Apartments at 1:53 a.m.

At 4:18 a.m. police took a vandalism report in the 1200 block of west McKinley. 

At 11:26 a.m. fire units responded to a report of a grass fire north of Adobe Road on 29th Street.

At 2:33 p.m. police took a domestic violence report in the 700 block of west Kansas.

At 3:49 p.m. fire units responded to Interstate 35 for a report of a grass fire near mile marker 218.

At 7:38 p.m. police took an assault report at Jiffy Trip. (see story)

At 8:48 p.m. police took a report o a road rage incident at McDonald’s.
