NEWKIRK — A status docket is set for Nathaniel Charles Green, 38, Ponca City, on Oct. 16 in Kay County District Court.
Green is charged with three felony counts of child sexual abuse, taking clandestine photos and sexual battery.
Ponca City police report that David Williams, Director of Technology for the City of Ponca City, contacted police about images he located on a city owned iPhone.
Williams reportedly terminated Green the last part of August and retrieved the city owned iPhone and while searching for pictures of a broken utility pole, he found “erotic” photos and videos of a female and women’s underwear. Officials believe the photos were taken without the female’s knowledge.
Police made contact with Green and questioned him at the station. Police report Green admitted to taking the photos and videos.
He reportedly stated he was concerned for her behavior and that he feared the female was watching porn and that he wanted her to stop because it is, “A sin in the eyes of God.”
Green then reportedly told police that he began to use the photos and videos for his own self-gratification. “I know it’s wrong and I have prayed and asked God for help repeatedly,” Green reportedly said to police.
Officers report that Green admitted to using the underwear in the photos for self-gratification. “I know I shouldn’t have done it and I’m sorry,” he reportedly told police.
Green reportedly admitted to police he had other electronic devices at home that contained erotic photos and videos and that the images on those devices were created with the City owned iPhone.
Green is being held in the county jail on $250,000 bond.
