The following information is provided by Blackwell police. 

Sept. 1

At 8:17 a.m. police  received a report of unresponsive football player. The call was transferred to Newkirk EMS.

At 10:11 a.m. police arrested James Cotton on warrants at 6th and College.

At 3:08 p.m. police arrested Tommie Shoemaker on a warrant at 408 west Oklahoma. (see story)

Sept. 3

At 2:11 p.m. police took a vehicle vandalism report.

Sept. 4

At 2:25 a.m. police arrested Misty Bicknell and Caleb Carnes at 306 east Kansas on warrants.

At 10:05 a.m. police took a report on a vehicle loaned to a subject who had not returned it.

At 5:37 p.m. police took a report on a reported assault.

At 10:21 p.m. police took a report on an assault reported in the 900 block of Robin Road.

Sept. 8

At 9:11 a.m. police took a report at O’Reilly’s on theft of merchandise.

At 6:20 p.m. fire units responded to a report of a grass fire in the center median on Interstate 35.

At 11:20 p.m. police responded to Shepherds on Doolin for a report of a woman who locked herself in the restroom with severe back and stomach pain.

Sept. 9

Blackwell fire assisted Tonkawa fire with a house fire at 306 N. 7th Street in Tonkawa. (see story)

At 3:47 p.m. fire units responded to 13th and Ferguson for a report of a gas odor.

Sept. 10

Police received a report of a transit van that hydroplaned into the median on Interstate 35.

At 9:41 a.m. police received a report of a gas meter hit.

At 12:50 p.m. police took a report on a domestic in the 400 block of west Padon.

At 4:08 p.m. police took a larceny report in the 300 block of east Chrysler.

At 6:58 p.m. police received a report of a vehicle that drove off into a creek near 76th Street and Highland or Hartford. KSO and OHP were notified. At 7:21 p.m. police found the driver in Blackwell and report they were okay.

Sept. 12

At 4:15 a.m. police received a report of shots fired by the village. The call was transferred to Tonkawa.

Sept. 13

Police arrested Cindy McGuire for child abuse.
