Ponca City fire crews respond to news office

PONCA CITY — Ponca City firefighters responded to The Ponca City News office, 300 N. 3rd Street at 3:30 p.m. today for a report of sparks coming from the air conditioner vent.

Employees were asked to evacuate the building as firefighters searched for the issue. A hot wire was found in the attic. Fire crews checked the air conditioning units on the roof and the breaker box. Fire crews went back in service at 4:18 p.m.
