KSO logs Aug. 3

The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

Aug. 3

At 1:25 a.m. a male subject, who dialed 911, was routed to Ponca City police and asked to speak with Newkirk police. The caller reported a man stole a 30 pack of beer from Jiffy Trip. Newkirk police was advised and made an arrest.

At 6:54 a.m. a deputy went to Kay County District No. 1 barn and took a vandalism report.

At 1:35 p.m. KSO received a report of a scam caller. A resident reported receiving a call advising she missed jury duty and that she needed to go to Dollar General and purchase $500 in gift cards to be used to pay for penalties or she would be arrested.

At 7:56 p.m. a deputy arrested Daniel King, 51, at the intersection of Cleveland and Birch.
