PAWHUSKA — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that an injury accident occurred today at approximately 6 p.m. on U.S. Highway 60, 27 feet west of County Road 4251, 0.5 miles west of Pawhuska in Osage County.
Troopers report Chelsea Powell, 33, Copan, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 60 in a 2006 Toyota 4Runner with two juvenile passengers.
Linda Falk, 75, Pawhuska, was also reportedly traveling eastbound on U.S. 60 in a 2017 Chevy Traverse.
Troopers report Falk slowed to make a left turn when Powell approached from the rear and failed to stop, impacted Falk’s vehicle, then departed the roadway to the right. Falk’s vehicle reportedly departed the roadway to the left coming to rest in a ditch.
Powell and her passengers were not injured.
Troopers report Falk was transported by ambulance to Pawhuska Hospital and then to St. John’s in Tulsa where she was admitted in fair condition with head injuries. Troopers cite inattentive driving as the cause of the collision.
