NEWKIRK — A preliminary hearing is set for Paris Roy, 26, Ponca City, on Aug. 17 in Kay County District Court.
Roy is charged with a felony count of first degree robbery.
Ponca City police Sgt. Jason Ivers reports in the affidavit that on June 22 he spoke to a female who reported her vehicle stolen.
She reportedly told Ivers that Roy sent her a text stating that he was going to sell the vehicle for $1,000 and two ounces of dope.
Officer Ethan Evans made contact with the female.
She told the officer that Roy believed she owed him money and told her that if she didn’t pay him he was going to make sure he went back to jail.
On June 23, police located the vehicle and report Roy was in the driver’s seat passed out. Police report locating a meth pipe in his possession. Roy is being held in the county jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
