Court date set for subject accused of making a hit list

NEWKIRK — An initial appearance is set for Elian Uribe, 20, Ponca City, in Kay County District Court.

Uribe is facing two felony charges of devising a scheme or plan to cause serious bodily harm or death to a person.

Ponca City police report in the affidavit that Uribe is accused of making a hit list containing at least five names.

Police report that next to one of the names on the list are the words vehicular homicide. Another name on the list had the word asphyxiation beside it.

Sgt. Matt Biddinger reports that on June 28 he made contact with Uribe at his home and asked him about the list. Uribe reportedly admitted to Biddinger that he made the list. “I just want to make a big deal about this and go to court,” Uribe reportedly said. He is free on $30,000 bond with the condition that he have no contact with the victims.
