Campbell sentenced following no contest pleaJuly 2, 2020 | Courts
NEWKIRK — Jerry Wayne Campbell, 49, Blackwell, entered no contest pleas in Kay County District Court in a felony case and two misdemeanor cases.
Charges included child neglect, eluding police, possession of meth and resisting an officer.
Campbell was arrested on May 20 by Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers following a pursuit that started in the city limits of Blackwell and ended in a wheat field. (see story)
Campbell was sentenced to six years revoked in the 2019 case and one year in the county jail on the eluding charge.
He was also ordered to complete drug and alcohol treatment in prison and fined.
