Five more COVID-19 cases reported in Ponca City

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports 12,642 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Oklahoma since the beginning of the pandemic, an increase of 299 from Friday. 

The Kay County case total is 91 as five more cases have been reported in Ponca City bringing the total number to 87 since the pandemic started.

Six of the Ponca City cases have been in the Osage County area which is why the Kay County total is not 97.  Tonkawa has had four cases; Blackwell, three cases, Newkirk two cases, and Kaw City, one case.  

OSDH reports 65 of those infected in Kay County have recovered, 19 of the cases are current. There are 11 ventilators available in Kay County and one is in use.

Noble County’s count is 37. Red Rock’s case count is 21, Perry has 10 cases, Morrison two cases, and Marland one case reported.

 The Osage County Count is 156 and Grant County remains at two cases.

The death toll across the state is now 384 which includes seven Kay County deaths. Five in Ponca City and one each in Newkirk and Kaw City. Eight people in Osage County have died.  

Cowley County now has 66 confirmed cases.

Two employees of a retirement home have tested positive for the virus.
