NEWKIRK — Marsha Lynette Newman, 34, Ponca City, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to a felony count of child neglect.
The charge was filed on July 24, 2019 after Ponca City police investigated a report of two children abandoned, one at the lake and one at a hotel. (see story)
Sentencing for Newman is deferred for two years. During this time, Newman must follow rules and conditions set by the court. She was advised that the crime she is now convicted of is an 85 percent crime.
