Warrants issued in church burglary case

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Branson Wayne Berry, 24, and Destinyee Danielle Delano, 22, both of Ponca City, by the Kay County District Court.

Both are facing felony charges of conspiracy and second degree burglary.

Ponca City police report that on May 7, an officer was dispatched to First Baptist Church for a report of a burglary. Officer Marcus Kincaid responded and reports that there were tools scattered in the church.  A church employee retrieved surveillance video for police. Kincaid reports a male and female in the video were later identified by police as Berry and Delano.

Destinyee Danielle Delano

The church maintenance manager reportedly told police that tools were scattered throughout the church and that two cordless drills, two battery charges, five batteries, two radios, hand held scanner,  and a voltage meter are missing. Bond for both is endorsed at $10,000.

Anyone with information on their locations is asked to call police.
