NEWKIRK — Michael Wayne Byrd, 23, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to a felony count of endangering others while eluding police.
Byrd was eluding a Kay County deputy on April 27 when he lost control and crashed in the 600 block of N. Oak. (see story)
Byrd also entered a no contest plea to a second degree burglary, a case filed in 2018. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but five years suspended and was ordered to pay $1,240 in restitution.
