Tonkawa police chief Nick Payne said police received numerous tips concerning Tilley after news of the warrant with bond endorsed at $25,000 was reported.

“Some of these locations included Blackwell, several locations in Ponca City, Stillwater, Oklahoma City, and Tonkawa,” said Payne. “However, Tilley was not found at any of these addresses or locations.”

Payne said today that officer Latosha Warrior and Tonkawa reserve police officer Darrell Mendiola investigated another tip that provided Tilley’s location.

“Tilley was observed at the park and was arrested at approximately 2:18 p.m.,” said Payne. “Tilley was taken into custody, without incident, and transported to the Kay County Detention Center based on his warrant. Tilley is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.”
