Ponca Nursing confirms that they had a case of COVID-19

PONCA CITY β€” Kathy Casper, administrator at Ponca Nursing Home said this morning that the facility stands by their press release issued Monday confirming a case of COVID-19 in the facility. (see story)

On Wednesday other media outlets reported the case was a false positive.

Casper said as of Wednesday there were no cases in the facility. “We had no cases in the building and currently (Thursday) we have zero cases in the building.” Casper said no other details to the situation are available.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health releases the latest statistics from nursing homes and hospitals Monday through Friday on https://coronavirus.health.ok.gov/

The latest report shows, 10 ventilators are available in Kay County. 2,065 surgical masks, 5,419 N95 Masks; 7,835 gowns;56,515 gloves, and three COVID-19 collection kits.
