Ponca City woman faces elder abuse charge

NEWKIRK — Ponca City resident Erika Brunette, 41, is free on bond after being charged with a felony count of elder abuse.

Kay County deputy Lewain Learned reports in the affidavit that on March 1, he responded to an address where a domestic had reportedly occurred.

Learned reports he made contact with an elderly female who alleges that Brunette pushed a door into her face. Learned reports the elderly female had a bruise above her right eye.

Brunette was charged on May 11 and was booked in the county jail on May 15. She was later released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled for a May 29 initial appearance.
