Ponca City man injured and Tulsa man killed in accident

COWETA — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a Ponca City resident was injured in a two-vehicle accident today that left a Tulsa man dead and two others critically injured.

Troopers report Jonathan Micah Howard, 60, Ponca City, was transported so Saint Francis Hospital via ambulance where he is listed in critical condition with head and trunk injuries. 

Ronald Paul McAllister, 59, Tulsa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident reportedly occurred at 3:11 a.m. on 141st Street South and 220th East Ave, four miles west of Coweta, in Wagoner County.

Troopers report Howard was traveling westbound in a 2009 Toyota Rav-4 and McAllister was traveling eastbound in a 1998 Chevrolet Venture Minivan when Howard reportedly went left of center and collided with McAllister.

Daniel Anthony Tant, 37, Tulsa, a passenger in McAllister’s vehicle, was admitted to Saint Francis Hospital in critical condition with internal and external injuries.

A second passenger in McAllister’s van, Sean Doyal Stewart, 40, Fort Worth, Texas is also listed in critical condition with trunk and head injuries at Saint Francis. Troopers are still investigating the accident.
