Subject arrested after reported assault at thrift store

NEWKIRK — An initial appearance is set for Taylor Shalom Reser, 23, in Kay County District Court on Feb. 21.

Reser is facing a felony charge of assault with dangerous weapon and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

Ponca City police officer Ryan Parton, reports in the affidavit that Reser was arrested on Feb. 10 at the Save a Dollar Thrift Store, 847 N. Union.

Parton reports that Reser is accused of throwing a cash register at woman working at the store and hit her in the face. He allegedly also hit the woman in the face with a closed fist. Reser is free on $2,000 bond.
