SALT FORK — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Lamont resident, Earl Lowell Shuyler III, 74, is listed in stable condition at Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid following a two-vehicle accident.
Troopers report the accident occurred today at 11:20 a.m. on Oklahoma 74 and Crag Road, two miles north of Salt Fork in Grant County.
Shuyler was reportedly driving a 1999 For Contour southbound on Oklahoma 74 when he reportedly struck a 2006 Peterbilt hauling an oversized load, traveling northbound on the highway.
The driver of the semi, Kenneth Charles Ballot, 47, Lafayette, Calif. was not injured.
Shuyler reportedly told troopers he did not see the oversized load. In attention is cited as the cause of the collision. The highway was closed for nearly two hours.
