Newkirk and Tonkawa propositions pass

NEWKIRK — Newkirk voters passed a $275,000 school transportation bond Tuesday by a count of 119-47.

Tonkawa voters passed a proposition to amend Ordinance No. 2001-06 so that the proceeds of the existing one percent tax be used for capital expenditures including the constriction of a municipal swimming pool. The proposition passed by a vote count of 196-132.
