Local Youth Bowlers compete in state tourney

BROKEN ARROW — Ponca City youth bowlers Alex Gaytan, Jessica Hamlin and Kimberlyn Hamlin competed in the Oklahoma Youth State Tournament held in Broken Arrow in January. 

The trio teamed up with a bowler from Broken Arrow to form PC Plus 1 and took first place in the Mixed Team Handicap Division. Jessica and Kimberlyn finished 9th in Girls Doubles Competition. Kimberlyn finished 18th in singles and fourth in All Events. Jessica finished 28th in all events.

Other area youth who competed include: Chase A. Maloy and Palladin L. Compala of Blackwell, who tied for 10th place in Boys Double Competition. Maloy finished 48th in singles an Compala 62nd. Compala tied for 12th in Boys All Events while Cantrell Compala, finished 39th and Kaplan Compala, finished 40th. For more results visit bowloklahoma.com
