KSO logs Jan. 26-Feb. 1

The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

Jan. 26

At 2:38 p.m. a female contacted the Kay County Sheriff’s Department requesting a female subject be prevented from attending the funeral service of homicide victim Shon DeLodge. (see story) A deputy advised to contact KSO if any problems occur. At 3:05 p.m. BIA advised that the service was in session and that the female was arguing with family. A deputy responded to the location. The female was gone prior to arrival.

Jan. 27

At 8:26 a.m. a member of Wanzek Construction contacted KSO and reported property from the windfarm in the area of Coleman and Longwood Roads had been stolen. At 9:42 a.m. the items were recovered undamaged. Extra patrol was assigned.

At 9:12 a.m. a deputy took a report on mailbox vandalism in the 1200 block of N. Q Street.

Jan. 29

At 8:08 a.m. KSO received a report of a truck parked near the Ponca Tribal Cemetery with a person slumped over inside. A deputy and BIA responded. A 62-year-old man was found. He had a confirmed warrant out of Cherokee County but they would not transport. A deputy gave him a ride to the OnCue.

Jan. 30

At 10:55 a.m. a deputy took a report on fraudulent bank charges.

Jan. 31

At 6:27 a.m. a deputy took a report on a roof scam.

At 10 a.m. a deputy took a report on a theft reported in the 4600 block of east Prospect.

Feb. 1

At 10:49 a.m. KSO received a report of a possible structure fire in the Hidden Cove area of Kaw City.

A deputy took a report at 12:22 p.m. on  stolen trailer.
