PCPD Logs Jan. 23-27

The following information is provided by Ponca City police.

Jan. 23

At 8:11 a.m. police took a report on a theft from a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of NE Woodlands.

At 10:45 a.m. police arrested Arthur Potts, 46, on warrants in the 3200 block of El Camino.

At 1:05 p.m. BIA advised they took a report on a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was then tracked to Dan Moran Park. A BIA officer responded and recovered the vehicle. While there he notified PCPD of a male subject west of the baseball filed swinging a bat in the air. Police made contact and determined the man was okay.

At 2:21 p.m. police arrested Victoria Raylynn Thurman, 21, for petit larceny at Walmart.

At 3:28 p.m. police arrested Marvel Eugene Lawson, at the intersection of Central and Perry on warrants.

At 4:45 p.m. police arrested Barbara Elaine Matthews, 57, for trespassing at Walmart.

At 4:50 p.m. police took a report on an accident at the intersection of Fifth Street and Hartford.

At 8:56 p.m. police responded to 1213 N. Oak for a report of a male subject shot in the head. (see story)

Jan. 24

At 1:20 a.m. police took a report on a theft in the 300 block of west Grand.

At 9:37 a.m. police responded to the 200 block of west Hartford and arrested Bobbie Anderson on a Grant County warrant.

At 11:11 a.m. police arrested Carl Carson Peterson III, 50, in the 900 block of Gray on a defective equipment warrant.

At 1:36 p.m. police responded to the 700 block of N. Elm for a report of a space heater haning on the fence. An officer retrieved the item and placed it in evidence.

At 1:52 p.m. police arrested marcella Ann Morgan, 60, for drunkness at 402 east Grand.

At 3:11 p.m. police took a report on an accident at the intersection of Sixth Street and South Ave. 

At 11:25 p.m. police arrested Michael Byrd, 22, at the intersection of Grand and Oak on a warrant.

Jan. 25

At 12:08 a.m. police arrested Dona Jones, 26, in the 800 block of N. Second for trespassing.

At 11:42 a.m. police took a report on a hit and run at Walmart.

At 1:01 p.m. police took a report on a residential burglary in the 400 block of S. Perry.

At 3:53 p.m. police issued a BOLO for Triston Anthony Pappan, 22 and a 17-year-old subject and identified them as suspects in the murder that occurred at 1213 N. Oak on Jan. 23. At 4:43 p.m. a caller advised police that Pappan entered a house in the 700 block of N. Pine. An officer responded but was unable to locate him. At 5:20 p.m. residents at 721 N. Oak reported they were looking for Pappan. At 8:30 p.m. police reported Pappan was arrested on a complaint of accessory to first degree murder. (see story) At 9:12 p.m. the family of the murder victim requested a police escort from Grace Memorial Chapel to 14th Street and Highway 60. Just after midnight on Jan. 26 police reported the 17-year-old suspect was arrested o a first degree murder complaint and transported from Stillwater to the Kay County Sheriff’s Department. (see story) At 2:23 p.m. police responded to the residence on Oak Street. A caller advised Maddison Norris was at the home and a trespass warning was wanted. An officer responded.

At 7:06 p.m. police arrested Nicole Maher at the intersection of Sixth Street and Hartford on warrants.

At 9:06 p.m. police responded to the intersection of Fifth Street and Hazel for a report of male subject jumped by six subjects. Officers investigated and report that the the subject was not jumped but got into an argument over Facebook and then met the subject in the park for mutual combat. The subject suffered a scratch but was transported in an ambulance to the hospital because of seizures.

Jan. 27

Police responded to the Valero at 2:37 a.m. in the 300 block of west Grand for a report of three subjects who robbed the clerk at knifepoint. A report was taken.

At 2:50 a.m. police arrested Gary Keeler, 46, near the railroad tracks on Grand on a meth charge.

At 4:49 a.m. police arrested Owen Spiva, 21, for trespassing at the intersection of Elm and Highland.
