KSO and BPD logs Jan. 3-7January 9, 2020 | Police
The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department and Blackwell police.
At 7:15 a.m. KSO was notified that PCPD was searching for a vehicle reported stolen from south Ash. The vehicle was later spotted westbound on Highland from Peachtree. A pursuit ensued. Officials lost the vehicle in the area of the airport. Blackwell police were notified. At 7:58 a.m. Blackwell police reported they were in pursuit of the vehicle, a black Dodge Challenger, but lost site of the vehicle. At 8 a.m. the vehicle was found abandoned on east Adams. One juvenile was located and arrested. Three others were believed to be involved. Officials searched the area near the landfill and river. At 9:08 a.m. a citizen reported three juveniles walking in a field near O Street and Chrysler. A deputy made contact with them. The three were taken to the county jail.
At 7:18 p.m. Otoe Missouria Police at First Council Casino Hotel advised a woman attempted to pay with a fake $50 bill.
At 7:33 p.m. Alliance Health advised they were treating a subject who accidentally shot himself in the knee at his house in the county, duck taped it up, and walked to the ER.
At 4:27 p.m. BPD arrested Steve Spears, 63, on dug charges in the 100 block of S. Fifth Street and Krischen Halbach, 29, on warrants.
At 8:30 p.m. a Blackwell resident called KSO and reported his roommate took his vehicle without permission and would not bring it back. A deputy made a report. On Jan. 5 the resident called back and reported he found his vehicle in Deer Creek. He was advised to contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Department.
At 11:33 p.m. a deputy advised a vehicle nearly ran him off the road in the area of Canteen Road north of Blackwell. Deputies followed the vehicle to a location and found a party. Everyone was 21 or over.
At 9:32 a.m. Blackwell police received a request for extra patrol in the area of 1026 N. Park in reference to spray painting found on a garage. Spray painting vandalism was also reported in the 800 block of Ash and the 800 block of Birch.
KSO received a report at 7:13 a.m. that a vehicle at Hembry and Hodgson Construction was broken into over the weekend.
At 2:42 p.m. deputies responded to the Lazy K Motel in Ponca City. Warrant checks were run on Joshua Robert Thompson, 36, Newkirk. He was arrested at 2:50 p.m. on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy, second degree robbery, and two counts of domestic assault and battery by strangulation. Bond is set at $100,000.
At 3:26 p.m. KSO received a report of an elderly male flipping people off bear Dixie Dog and Big Snake Bridge. A deputy located the subject and give him a ride to the 300 block of S. Ash.
At 4:43 p.m. a deputy made a traffic stop on a taxi at Central and 11th Street. Marlene Eagle, 35, and keith Casey Botone, 38, were arrested.
At 5:14 p.m. BPD arrested Marlena Warrior in the 200 block of of west Blackwell on warrants.
At 7:54 p.m. BPD arrested Andrew Wooderson on a domestic charge.
At 8:11 p.m. a deputy responded to the 3500 block of Riverview Road for a report of an assault. One subject was arrested.
At 7:41 a.m. a male subject advised he hit a horse west of Ranch Drive on Hubbard Road. Both he and the horse were injured. OHP and PCPD were advised and a deputy responded.
At 9:25 a.m. KSO received a report of three subjects who threw rocks through the windows of T&B Recycling on west North Avenue. One subject fled on foot. A juvenile was arrested and transported to PCPD.
At 9:57 a.m. BPD arrested Tyler Dollarhide on city warrants in the 700 block of N. 4th Street.
At 12:45 p.m. Blackwell police reported they had located a stolen maroon Tahoe in the 100 block of Chrysler. Four subjects were detained. Police arrested Tyler Bo Ketts on a stolen vehicle charge and drug charges.
At 12:52 p.m. the City of Braman requested traffic assistance while they fixed a water leak at Broadway and Fourth Street. ODOT was contacted.
At 4:48 p.m. BPD received a report of a subject trespassing on property in Shidler. BPD advised Osage County Sheriff. At 6:35 p.m. the caller called back and said help was needed. Osage County Sheriff was contacted.
At 5:33 p.m. KSO was asked to assist in Osage County for a report of a gunshot victim on Bell Road. A PCPD officer responded.
