Stabbing suspect sentenced
December 16, 2019 | Courts|FeaturedNEWKIRK ā Dylan Trent Washington, 24, Ponca City, entered a no contest plea today in Kay County District Court to a felony charge of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and three misdemeanor cases.
The charge was filed on Aug. 13. He is now convicted of stabbing Neli Martinez in the neck, reportedly leaving a two inch long wound. (see story)
He was sentenced to 35-years in prison with all but 10 years suspended. He was granted credit for time served. Also, arrested in the case was 25-year-old Monica Bree Dent.

On Sept. 23, Dent entered a no contest plea to a felony charge of harboring a fugitive.
Her criminal background includes meth charges. Applications to revoke were granted and Dent was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but five years suspended.
