Blackwell woman receives deferred sentence in exploitation case

NEWKIRK — Tina Sue Hammond, 48, Blackwell, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to a felony count of exploitation of elderly and or disabled adult by deception and or intimidation.

She was charged on Dec. 26, 2018. She was arrested on the charge on March 10 by Blackwell police officer Kayla Green at Baggy Park. (see story) Hammond received a five year deferred prison sentence and ordered to pay $255.35 in restitution and a $500 fine. A review is set for June 26.
