Two injured in accident south of Newkirk

KAY COUNTY — Emergency workers responded to a two-vehicle accident today at 5:28 p.m. at Oklahoma 11 and U.S. 77.

Newkirk fire chief Adam Longcrier said an off duty Tonkawa firefighter assisted at the scene.

Longcrier said a female from Cowley County was transported to Alliance Health in serious condition and that a Ponca City resident is in good condition. Longcrier. Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Kay County deputies responded along with Kildare fire and Ponca City fire units. Names of the injured have not been released yet.
