Rape suspect held on $150,000 bond

NEWKIRK — Ponca City police arrested Glen Wesley Collier, 36, at Dollar General, 729 N. 14th Street on Sept. 27, after a female told police he repeatedly raped and assaulted her at a Ponca City residence.

Collier is being held in the Kay County Detention Center on charges of bail jumping and domestic assault and battery and probable charges of domestic assault and battery by strangulation, two counts; Assault and battery with a deadly weapon; Rape instrumentation; Rape by instrumentation, and two probable counts of first degree rape.
Bond is set at $151,000.

The victim told police she has been dating Collier for about a year.
She told officers she obtained a ride to Ponca City from Tulsa to meet him. Collier reportedly was mad that the female arrived late and attempted to pull her out of the car. The driver left and dropped her off at McDonald’s. The female walked from the restaurant back to the residence where Collier was.

The victim claims Collier pulled her into the garage, choked her, stood her up, pulled her pants down, and sexually assaulted her. The victim told police that she told him to stop but he replied, “Don’t tell me what to do, I run you.” Collier reportedly hit the victim in the head several times with his hand and threatened her with a knife.

The female told police the pair went into the home, where Collier reportedly choked her until she passed out. When she came to, he was raping her. He then reportedly forced her to take a shower with him.
About an hour later he reportedly threatened and raped the woman again.

A witness told police she has known Collier for five years and gave him a ride to the home from Osage Casino. The witness told police he was strung out on drugs and had been hiding in a field. The witness was reportedly at the residence at the time of the alleged crimes and told police she saw Collier grab the victim by the hair and pull her into a bedroom. The witness took the pair to Dollar General and had her boyfriend call police.

Det. Sgt. Brian Dye reports that the victim was taken to Alliance Medical Center for treatment. Dye reports Collier denies the allegations but admits to having consensual sex with the female in the garage. Police report Collier has multiple felony convictions in Cleveland and Oklahoma counties. He is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Oct. 4.
