Court date set for Bridgeway escapee

NEWKIRK — A status docket is set for Paul Amanueal Hartsell, 46, Oklahoma City, on Sept. 6 in Kay County District Court.

Hartsell is facing felony counts of larceny of an automobile and escape from DOC Custody.

Ponca City police report Hartsell is accused of taking a van belonging to Bridgeway and leaving the facility on Nov. 25, 2018. Employees report he was caught on camera taking the van and driving away at 11:05 a.m.

On March 19, he was found by Oklahoma City Police in a stolen vehicle at the intersection of Ninth Street and Penn. He was booked in the Oklahoma County Jail before being transported on March 26, to the Kay County Detention Center where he remains on $25,000 bond. Hartsell’s criminal record includes second degree burglary and domestic assault charges all filed in Oklahoma County.
