NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Timothy Michael Hall, 30, who is charged with a felony count of cruelty to animals in Kay County District Court.

Ponca City police report Hall is accused of punching a dog in the face at least 15 times on Dec. 26, 2018. Two people at Genesis Hair Saloon told police they witnessed the incident.
Officers made contact with Hall.

He reportedly told police his dog chewed up his Bible and so he hit the dog with a closed fist to discipline it. He also reportedly said he overreacted. Bond for Hall is endorsed at $2,500. He has no prior arrests so no mug shot is available.
