NOC holds basketball camp

TONKAWA — Six campers attended the Northern Oklahoma College Girls’ Basketball Camp for Grades 1-3 held at NOC, June 10-12. 

Hollynn Randall, Tonkawa; Hope Sinor, Ponca City; Payzlyn Armstrong, Ponca City; Anslee Neale, Ponca City; Payton Seybold, Guthrie; Emily Hughes, Blackwell were instructed by  Coach Haley Curfman, and Lady Mavs Coach Greg Krause. 

Krause said the camp focused on introducing basic skills such as dribbling, passing, defensive and varied offensive skills and that lowered goals were used to teach shooting fundamentals.

On the final day, campers demonstrated their skills to their parents. Each girl received a T-shirt, a regulation size basketball and a certificate of completion.
